Well! Everybody in our country wants to get a government job in any department. Young graduates and experienced professionals search for govt jobs on the internet on daily basis.
Before you even start preparing for a govt job or sarkari naukri, have you asked yourself “am I eligible for a government job?”
What is your thought on this?
Why you want to go for only a sarkari naukri?
Well! You can be eligible for a government job or you can’t be. There can be both scenarios. Below I have explained both scenarios.
If Yes, Then Why You Think So?
If you feel yes you are eligible for a sarkari naukri, then why do you feel so? What is the basis that you think you’re eligible for a government job?
Here are few points why you might feel so.
1. You Have Reservation in Sarkari Naukri
You feel that you are eligible because you have reservation in a Sarkari Naukri. I mean to say if you fall in a category for which government of India gives quota in government jobs because of social & economic background then you can feel so.
Yes, you can get a sarkari naukri on reservation basis. However, reservation does not mean that you do not have to clear exams or face the interview.
It means there will be some concessions in passing marks compared to other candidates. The quota will guarantee that you do get a job.
2. You Have Reference of Someone Influential
Well! This could be an ideal situation and your job would be guaranteed if you have reference of someone influential.
It means if you are referred by a minister or a top bureaucrat or someone influential then under VIP quota you might be given a job.
However, this is a very rare case because majority of the aspiring candidate do not have any reference. But if there is a person who knows a political figure then legally there is a VIP quota through which he or she can get a sarkari naukri.
Hence you can feel confident that you are eligible of a government job.
3. Your Academic Qualification is Excellent
Other reason why you could be eligible for a sarkari naukri is your excellent academic record. If your performance is outstanding whether it is 10+2 or College, you can feel confident that you will be selected on the basis of merit.
In government jobs a candidate with good academic performance has always a better chance to qualify compared to others.
So, this could be a reason.
4. You Are Well Prepared for both Written Exams & Interview
Usually, to get a government job you have to first clear a written exam and then face an interview. You can face interview only if you clear the written exam otherwise you will be shortlisted.
Therefore, you think you are eligible for a sarkari naukri because your preparation to clear written exams and then interview is very strong.
You are confident that you will be chosen for a government job among lakhs of other candidates. If you think you can, then you will get a sarkari naukri purely on the basis of merit.
Not because of reservation or reference.
5. You Are Satisfied With Monthly Salary or Pay Package
If you believe that you are eligible for a Sarkari Naukri then you have to take monthly salary and other perks into consideration also. Your desire for a government job does not end at clearing written exams and facing interview, but it starts here.
If you feel that you are eligible then you are satisfied or content with monthly salary of a Sarkari Naukri. Well! You should know, usually the monthly income of a government job is very less compared to private jobs.
A candidate of same caliber can earn more money in a private job than in a Sarkari Naukri. Hence you have to consider this factor even if you have cleared exams and interview.
If you feel that you are eligible then it means you are satisfied with monthly income.
6. Will You Love the Work Culture of a Sarkari Naukri
Now, even if you are satisfied with the salary, then the next thing would be, you have to be OK with the work culture of a Sarkari Naukri.
In government jobs whether you work or not, you will get the salary. So it could be good for a person who is now satisfied with his life, but if you are an adventurous person and want to do something special then you may not like the work culture of a sarkari naukri.
So if you feel eligible or fit for a government job then you have to also love the work culture.
If No, Then Why You Think So?
But what if, you do not feel that you are eligible for a government job. Well! There could be some reasons that can apply on you. Here are they.
1. Your Educational Qualification or Age Factor
You feel you are not eligible for a Sarkari Naukri because of your educational qualification. You might consider yourself that you are academically NOT good enough to qualify for a government job.
Or you still may not have the degree that is required for a Sarkari Naukri because you are underage. It means your age is below the required age for the job.
This could be the reason why you feel that you are not eligible.
2. You Cannot Clear Written Exams & Interview
You may believe that you are not capable enough to clear written exams for a Sarkari Naukri. Usually exams for government jobs are very tough because they test your analytical skills.
Hence you are not confident enough to clear exams and also not sure of facing an Interview. It can also happen that you are not prepared because time is not enough for preparation.
These could be the reasons why you do not feel eligible for a Sarkari naukri.
3. You Do Not Trust the Selection Procedure
Or this is the case that you have good academic background and you can clear written exam and face the interview but you do not trust the selection procedure.
You feel that selection of candidates for a job post is not free and fair. There is corruption and officials favor those candidates who have reference of someone powerful.
This could be the reason why you feel you are not eligible for a Sarkari Naukri.
4. You Are Not Interested in a Sarkari Naukri
You might not be interested in a Sarkari Naukri because it is not glamorous like private sector. In government jobs monthly income is very less compared to what you get in private jobs.
Today in colleges and universities young students are more fascinated about private jobs than sarkari naukri. They really have no interest, therefore awareness is also very low.
This could be the reason why you are not eligible for government jobs.
5. You Do Not Want to Work From 9 to 5
Normally, in government jobs you have to work from 9 to 5. You have to answer to your seniors. You may not like the work culture because in a Sarkari Naukri there is less work. Hence it is very boring for a person who believes in adventure and wants to do something exciting.
Or you may even want to start your own business rather working for somebody else hence you do NOT want to go for a government job.
6. You Are Completely Unaware About Sarkari Naukri
Finally, you are not at all interested in government jobs. In urban cities younger generation has very little knowledge about Sarkari Naukri.
They are really not interested in it because their upbringing is totally in a different environment. They are not concern about Sarkari Naukri .
This could be also a reason why you feel you’re not eligible for government jobs.
Or Confused! Neither Yes Nor No?
Lastly, you may be confused or undecided whether you are eligible or not. You are not able to decide whether you want to apply for a Sarkari Naukri or not.
Well! In this scenario I would advise you to read this article and understand why you are eligible for government jobs and why not.
